Israeli Plan for Gaza: "A Foretold Disaster of Unprecedented Gravity," Macron Denounces

"We must end this war now with a permanent ceasefire." This Monday, August 11, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke to BFMTV about the ongoing war in Gaza and the Israeli army's new operational plan in the Palestinian territory .
"The announcement by the Israeli cabinet of an expansion of its operation in Gaza City and the Mawasi camps and of a reoccupation by Israel constitutes a disaster of unprecedented gravity and a headlong rush into permanent war," declared the head of state . "The Israeli hostages and the people of Gaza will continue to be the first victims of this strategy." In addition, the French leader explained that he was giving "priority" to "a stabilization mission under a UN mandate."
Emmanuel Macron spoke the day after Benjamin Netanyahu reaffirmed the relevance of his plan of operation. On Sunday, August 10, the Israeli Prime Minister assured that it was the "best way to end the war" against Hamas in the Palestinian enclave.
